Nov 28 I've been getting a lot of e-mail lately, and postings have been made in the various message boards regarding those Daria DVD box sets that people have seen advertised on the Internet. Rather than respond to each and every question, I created a new page devoted specifically to news and information about Daria on DVD (some of it moved over from the News page). In a nutshell: the only official releases are the IIFY and IICY DVDs; anything else is a bootleg, so caveat emptor.

As far as the site goes, I do have some more artwork from SRA (already posted at Glitter Berries) that has yet to be posted. Next update, I promise.

Nov 14 I'd like to take this opportunity to extend an apology to the artist known as SRA. Apparently, two pieces of his artwork were being passed off as the work of "Jorge Martinez" (which I probably should've guessed from the beginning; SRA has his own distinctive style). I've removed "Jorge Martinez" from the Art Gallery, and replaced it with a page for SRA while I await word as to the final disposition of these pieces. Again, my most sincere apologies go out to SRA for this incident of blatant theft.

Oct 23 Finally, the day has come... the day when I finished posting ALL pending artwork submissions. The artwork folder in my e-mail program now shows ZERO unread messages! "And the crowd goes wild!" as the saying goes.

I was also able to polish off the 150 or so pending song list updates. It was easy when nearly half of them were incomplete, duplicates, or were being (mis)used by people asking about songs (instead of contributing information).

  • Updated: The Paperpusher's Message Board URL has been changed to use the temporary ".net" domain, as issues have developed with the ".com" domain. The URL will be changed back once the problems have been corrected.
Oct 8 More artwork! I'm on a roll, baby! :-)

Seriously, not only does this update clean out the pending fanfic illustrations, it starts carving its way into the general fan artwork, too. The good news is that as I'm going along, I'm finding that some of the artwork has already been posted. (I'd neglected to mark the submissions as "read" in my e-mail app, thus making it look like there's more pending than there really is.) This may go quicker than I first thought...

Sep 30 Woo-hoo! That's three updates in one week, let alone one month! Why? Well, I figured that since I was on a roll, I'd better take advantage of the momentum.

Sep 25 This update adds links to Kara Wild's two additional follow-up Q&A's with Glenn Eichler on the News page (yeah, I know, they're from April and June, but better late than never).

In addition to the changes noted below, I've also added all pending makeover submissions (some dating back to 2000) to the Art Gallery. (chorus of cheers punctuated with an occasional "it's about freakin' time!") If there are any that weren't posted, blame technical issues (either that, or I just plain screwed up). Next up: fanfic illustrations...

  • All artwork by Kemical Reaxion (except for fanfic illustrations) has been removed, by her request; Kem reports that her art has become a frequent target of theft, thus she would prefer to keep a tight reign on her work. A link to her art page on her website, Glitter Berries, now takes the place of her art page here.
  • The character makeover pages have received a much-needed overhaul. The main change is that thumbnail image links to the full-size pictures are now used, reducing the total number of pages required. The revamped coding on the pages should also make it easier to add new makeover images in the future.
  • Added makeover pages for Jesse, Max, Nick, and Tom.
Sep 2 Got a couple more transcripts for you this time around, courtesy of Richard Lobinske. With these, all of the old Planet Daria transcripts have now been updated, corrected, and given a shiny new coat of paint. Again, thanks to everyone who was/is/will be contributing their time and effort to update and complete our transcript collection!

May 19 Thanks to the Internet Archive (aka the Wayback Machine), Paperpusher's fanfics have been resurrected from the grave and are now hosted on this site. Kudos to the denizens of the PPMB for pointing me in the right direction.

Got some new (old) artwork for you this time around, including one by Admonisher that's especially appropriate for today's release of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. :-)

May 3 Gee, this update is nearly in time for my birthday (the 10th). I figured you'd rather have it sooner, though, so here you go. :-)

Jan 29 Recently, I was once again reminded of the lack of new artwork being posted here (not surprising; posting artwork is currently much more time-consuming than posting fanfic, which I've been able to largely automate). I'd like to try to remedy this situation, and to that end, I've created a new set of artwork submission guidelines. Please read them carefully, they're mostly common sense but they also include some tips to help make the process quicker and more efficient. Let's see if this gets the ball rolling!
